Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Dionne and I'm from New York but I was also raised in Jamaica until I was 6 years old. Starting life in Jamaica and moving to America at a young age made me want to know more about the world. I grew up loving travel, learning, and experiencing new things. I have traveled to the United Kingdom,  France, Thailand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Aruba and Puerto Rico and I have lived in Japan. I loved Japan so much that I studied it in college and graduated with a degree in Economics and East Asian Studies. I would love to share my experience with you and I would love for you share yours with me! 

Last month, I moved back to Thailand to live. I am planning on staying here for 2 years.  I dont speak Thai yet so I'm a little nervous. Because I will be learning a new language again, I will be able to think about English from a different perspective, and I think this perspective will help me to become an even better English teacher. 

One year has passed since I have worked with CafeTalk. Last year my computer broke down and, in order to buy another one, I took 2 jobs. I worked as a celebrity personal assistant and in catering service. Unfortunately, I had no time left to teach on CafeTalk. These days, I choose my own schedule because I am my own boss. With my free time, I'm happy to rejoin the CafeTalk community.  

Please feel free to ask me anything. Nothing is harder than studying a foreign language and I do not want to add to the difficulty. Sometimes when speaking a foreign language, one may feel nervous or easily embarrassed. I have a very relaxed personality and I like to make others laugh so I hope you can feel very comfortable in  my presence :-) I have been teaching English for 9 years. I form my lesson plans based on my student's free time to study, their personality, interests, and language skill level. 
I have experience teaching from the beginner level so I can help the most basic level English speaker.
