はじめまして！セイラーといいます！

アメリカのシアトルから日本に来て、今年で７年になります。アメリカの大学では言語学を専攻、日本語を副専攻していました。

日本で英会話の講師をやっていましたが、他では、英語で歌う日本人バンドの日本詩の英訳、発音のサポートなどもやりました。 それらのバンドがアメリカツアーを行なった際には通訳として同行し、逆にアメリカのバンドが日本ツアーを行なった際にも通訳をしました。

My name is Sailor, I am originally from Seattle but I have been living in Tokyo for the past 7 years.  At university I majored in linguistics and minored in Japanese. In Japan I have worked as a translator for various bands; helping with English lyrics and singing pronunciation as well as assisting Japanese bands during their US tours, and American bands touring Japan. I also have experience teaching conversational English at schools throughout Tokyo.

私のレッスンの方針ですが、とにかく気楽さが一番だと思っています。皆さんの一番興味ある事柄（ドラマ、映画、スポーツなど）を中心に授業をすすめられたらと思ってます。

私自身、日本語を勉強している時に一番苦労したのが堅苦しいレッスンでしたし、今でもそうです。

興味ある事柄を、気楽にやる事が一番の勉強だと思います。

I generally have an easy-going teaching style that is based around your needs and interests, but lessons are completely customizable to suit your learning style.  My own struggles to learn Japanese and communicate with my Japanese friends have made me sensitive to the difficulties of learning a foreign language. I think the more comfortable and enjoyable it is for you to practice English, the easier it will be to learn!
