Hello♥ I'm Sakura! I am half Japanese and I was born in Brazil, raised in Japan, and graduated college in Canada.
When I was in high school I was researching what I should do become an international civil servant, and I discovered that English skills were a must. Although English was my weakest point at the time, during my student-teacher conference I told my homeroom teacher that I wanted to study at a university abroad....but he scolded me and that was the end of that==(´□`;)
At any rate, after graduating high school I studied at an English language school in Canada, and afterwards I majored in international cooperation at a public university. However, tuition was so much more expensive than I expected that I even considered dropping out. I was totally cornered, but I found out about scholarships and a partial tuition exemption system, so I went back to my original goal, and though I cried spending every day in pursuit of knowledge, at one point I received the exemption and graduated without a hitch.
After that, I began working with international organizations and NGO's in Canada, Brazil, and Japan tackling issues concerning human trafficking, child soldiers, child slavery, and homeless children.
I returned to Japan and worked at a major English school for 4 years, teaching a wide variety of age groups English and realizing once again how difficult and important learning languages is. I began with a speaking class (grammar based, topic based) and then went on to middle school and high school grammar, Eiken, TOEIC, pronunciation, reading aloud, and training class for elementary school English teachers.
Now I live in Canada with my dog. facebook♥ https://www.facebook.com/Sakura.Cafetalk

《Studying English》
It's crucial to have fun while you're tacking English! When I was an English conversation teacher, students often asked me, "Is there a way to improve quickly?" However, when it comes to learning English, impatience is taboo! The best way to keep on studying is to find the method that is easiest for you and allows you to work hard. Study methods also differ based on which skill you would like to improve. In order to keep up your motivation to improve, it's best to have a clear idea of the following:
・Purpose (Why do you want to learn English?)
・Goal (What are you aiming for?)
・Your strong and weak points
・Skills you would like to improve on
