15-Minute POWER PRACTICE
レッスンの詳細
The lesson includes interactive games and activities that focus on speaking, listening, vocabulary, and fluency.
By combining shorter warm-up games with longer discussion or creative exercises, students stay energized while building confidence.
The session ends with a reflective activity to reinforce learning and encourage application outside the lesson.
I will choose ALL GAMES we play.
Possible Games included:
- Rapid Fire Q & A - The student must answer as quickly as possible without overthinking.
- Two Truths and a Lie - The student and I take turns sharing three statements—two true and one false. The other person guesses the lie.
- Word Association - Say a word (e.g., "travel"). The student responds with the first word that comes to mind. Keep it going until someone hesitates or repeats a word.
- 20 Questions - Think of a person, place, or object. The student asks yes/no questions to guess what it is within 20 questions.
- Picture This (no pictures - only description) - Describe an object, place, or scene, and the student guesses what it is. Then we reverse roles.
- Would you Rather - Would you rather" questions (For example: "Would you rather travel to the mountains or the beach? Why?")
- 10-Second Vocabulary Challenge - Give a topic (For example: "fruits," "jobs"). The student lists as many related words as possible in 10 seconds.
- Guess the Word - Choose a word (For Example: "pizza") and give clues without saying the word itself. The student guesses. Then we reverse roles.
- Finish the sentence - Start a sentence (For Example: "If I won the lottery..."). The student completes it and adds a few sentences.
- Story by Sentence - Start with one sentence of a story (e.g., "Once upon a time, a cat wanted to travel the world.") The student adds the next sentence. Continue until time runs out.
- One-Minute Speech - I will give you a topic (example: favorite food). You must talk about it for one minute without pausing if possible.
- This or That - Present pairs of words (e.g., "coffee or tea," "summer or winter"). The student chooses one and explains why.
- Spelling Bee - I will say a word and have you spell it out.
- Alphabet Challenge - Pick a category (e.g., animals, countries). The student names something from that category for each letter of the alphabet (A = ant, B = bear).
- Describe the object - Pick a common object in your environment or an imaginary one. The student describes it in detail without naming it. I will guess what it is.
- Odd One Out - I will give the student a list of items. You will identify which one doesn't belong and explain why.
