課程介紹
Even if you know a lot of words, it's super important that you can also say them using the right sounds.
In this lesson, we will learn about phonics (the sounds that letters make together) and how to say some tricky words. This will help other people understand you when you speak English!
Lesson structure:
- Introduction - We will start with some easy questions and a short chat, so that I can get to know what sounds you struggle with and what accent you have.
- Phonetics - we will work through the basics of English phonetics, looking at the different rules about letters and the sounds they make (e.g. what sound does "ph" usually make? Does this change?)
- Reading - you will read some fun stories, focusing on good pronunciation! I'll help you with your tone and accent so that you can say all the words properly.
- Extended practice - we can do some practice exercises together and work on any particularly tricky sounds, like the difference between "w" and "v" and the difference between "l" and "r".
