Welcome to the 80´s & 90´s studio!
Are you a big fan of old times? Remember when social media and cell phones where not even born? Do you share that saying..."the good old days"?
How about talking about aliens, friend and travelling in time? Scary or fantastic?
If you love the idea...this the right place for you.
You will be able to practise your English while we talk about the best TV shows of all times. We will discuss the main characters, their way of living and why they mean so much to us.
Going Through a series of questions I will trigger your memory and make you travel back in time!
Methodology applied: Trigger questions (Some examples here)
- Who was your main character and why?
- Why do you love that particulat show so much? Do you feel inspired by them?
- How would he or she live in today´s world? Can you imagine?
- Why do you think these series have been so popular? What did we learn from them? Did they transmit important values?
- When you re-watch these episodes... Do you feel like you are goig back in time? Remember what you were doing when those programmes aired?
- How about movies? Can you choose your favorite character? Do you feel he or she has been iconic?
- Do you follow the life of some iconic person? Why? What is her or his legacy?
The lesson will be adapted to your needs and level of experience. In the first class you will tell me about our personal choices and your favorite shows. Then I will specially adapt the excercises to your needs, and we will practise not only conversation, but also writing and listening. I will provide the necesary corrections and you will be able to practise and learn from your mistakes.
The lesson wil be completely adapted to your choices and preferences. Don´t worry, the main idea is that you have a good time while you learn, so that you love staying on track.
Environment: Calm, relaxed atmosphere. No pressures from my part. We will move forward at your own pace.
