Description
“No mud, no lotus.” It’s a great quote from Thich Nhat Hanh suggesting, to me anyway, that the beauty of our lives is somewhat complicated by all the necessary mess and noise that abounds in our day-to-day existence. And that’s what this lesson is all about: Consciousness, mindfulness, and Zen. We will explore the nature of awareness and presence in our lives.
How it works? You will choose a number off the board and it takes you to a thought-provoking conversation question. After answering and discussing the question, we go back to the board and you pick another number to take you to another new discussion question.
The questions are quite deep and the language is advanced level English, so you'll need to be comfortable thinking about and giving your opinions on the world around you and your life philosophies. At the same time, you can of course ask me the same questions that I'm asking you; it's only fair!
The topics covered are:
- consciousness
- mental wellness
- Zen philosophy
- self-improvement
- core beliefs
- sense of meaning
- creativity
You can see a couple of examples below to give you a taster.
I hope this sounds like an interesting way to practice your speaking through thought provoking conversation. If so, set aside an hour for this class and get your mind in Zen!
Thank you!
