IELTS Speaking Lesson:

Lesson Focus:
This lesson is designed to develop students' speaking skills for the IELTS exam. It is ideal for intermediate students (B1-B2) who are preparing for IELTS and want to improve their fluency, pronunciation, and ability to express ideas clearly.

Teaching Style:
The teaching approach is communicative and student-centered, with a focus on maximizing student talk time. The aim is to simulate the IELTS Speaking Test environment and provide students with ample practice responding to real exam-style questions. The teacher acts as a facilitator, guiding discussions, correcting errors when necessary, and offering feedback to build confidence.

Speaking Test Format

• Part 1: Personal questions (4-5 minutes).
• Part 2: Individual long turn (3-4 minutes) where students speak on a topic for 1-2 minutes after 1 minute of preparation.
• Part 3: Discussion (4-5 minutes), where the student answers more abstract questions related to the topic in Part 2.

• Teacher’s Role: Briefly explain each part and give examples of common question types. Engage students with examples, asking them to brainstorm answers to an easy question from Part 1.
