Math Problem Solving - Mind Exercises
Description
According to a study, "Mathematical Problem Solving: One Way to Prevent Dementia", by Jeremias Iva, et al., problem solving in mathematics was ccorrelated with higher cognitive skills, including critical thinking and sound reasoning. Based on previous studies, it was found that increased involvement in cognitive activities may slow down cognitive decline and reduce the risk of mild cognitive impairment.
Just like our body, our mind needs exercises, too. Taking a language course for example is a great way to do it. Solving simple Math problems serves the same purpose.
We can brainstorm and work on Math problems together.
