Description
The phonetic chart is the "sound of the English language." It consists of symbols that correspond to each sound.
Each word in the language has its alphabet spelling (like the word Thursday) and its equivalent spelling in "script" (like /θɜrz·deɪ/) which shows you exactly what that word "sounds" like.
In other words, if you can read the phonetic scripts, you can read any English word with the correct pronunciation.
In this lesson, you will learn how to read the phonetic chart. I will also assess your pronunciation and let you know about your weak points and help you improve them during the lesson.
