Description  

   In this course, the students will learn various facts about ice cream by math, science, French , ice cream vocabulary, Greek root words, Latin root words and by the concepts of buying and selling.  In this course, the students will learn that order is important in understanding many math concepts. The same combination of items are able to make different results based on the order.  The students will match the correct definition to the  Food and Ice Cream word list. Then the class will have an ice cream discussion using these words. Also in this course, the students will learn how to say in French what ice cream flavor that they like. This lesson also teaches some ice cream flavors in French. . The students will be able to recognize ice cream vocabulary. Most will be able to order a simple ice cream, and some will be able to order more complicated ice creams. Also,  the students will learn how ice cream is made with illustrations added. This lesson focuses on the processes of ice cream composure. Then they will answer several questions which test their memory and cognitive skills Furthermore,   In this course. the students will participate in a numeracy problem where this is the criteria: The students can  not select ice cream flavors that include TOTALLY what someone has has already chosen. This lesson will practice thinking skills and problem solving.
 
 
      Continuing the course description is as follows:  it will improve literacy and vocabulary development . Also, the students will complete the  sentence by choosing the correct word from the word bank and writing it on the line. The four  words come from Greek and Latin word roots.   Not to forget this one:   in this course,  the students will learn the concepts of buying and selling.  Also, they will practice a few flavors in French. They will set up an Ice Cream Parlor with the worksheet given. They may also bring other ice cream items related to the lesson (ice cream props).  They will buy and also sell ice cream from their classmates.
    Additionally in this course,  the students will take turns  reading  and understanding  the key ingredients in ice cream . They will also discuss  it with each other. First,  they will read two ingredients each as well as explain why they are important for the ice cream.  Next they will play a game where the teacher asks them questions like: What does carob gum do for ice cream? Why is it important?  They will accumulate points . They will learn and have fun at the same time.   Moreover,  In this course the students will learn why  smaller ice crystals make smoother, richer ice cream. They will watch a video , and then discuss it .  The class will  discuss the following four words: solution, dispersion, emulsion and stabilizer. Lastly,  in this course, the students  will learn about ice cream indulgence in a funny way. They  will watch a funny  video about a family who takes turns moving food  from one  refrigerator to another one. Since the ice cream has melted. they indulge in it and have a fun, messy time. Next, the teacher will ask the students about the video . The class will have a discussion and share their opinions. Then they will each  bring a delicious bowl of ice cream and eat  it together in class.
