Description
Design thinking is an educational approach that focuses on developing and nurturing creative problem-solving skills for children with the added value of an entrepreneurial outlook.
It's an approach that could and should lead to a more entrepreneurial way of facing future challenges.
It's a process for solving problems by prioritising the consumer's needs above everything else.
It relies on observing, with empathy, how people interact with their environments and employs a flexible, hands-on approach to creating innovative solutions. This is the “constant” part of design thinking.
During the lesson, we shall go through the 5 x Stages of Design Thinking, i.e.
Stage 1: Empathise—Research Your Users' Needs, Identify the Problem that Needs the Solution.
Stage 2: Define—State Your Users' Needs and Problems.
Stage 3: Ideate—Challenge Assumptions and Create Ideas.
Stage 4: Prototype (an original or first model of something from which other forms are copied or developed) —Start to Create Solutions.
Stage 5: Test— Experiment and Try Your Solutions Out.
