Are you studying GENKI 1 on your own and having trouble understanding something? Are you feeling stuck and slowing down? Let me be your study partner and help you learn Japanese faster!
We can work on any part of GENKI 1 together—grammar, vocabulary, expression notes, practice, reading and writing, and so on.
- Would you like to focus on a specific grammar point on a specific page? Let's work on it together and solidify the grammar point.
- Do you need more example sentences to better understand the meaning of a specific word? Of course I would be happy to give you more examples on the spot.
- Would you like to structure your own sentences using a specific word and grammar pattern from a specific Lesson? Let me help you with that!
When you make a lesson request (preferably at least a few days before the lesson date), please let me know which part(s) or Lesson(s) of GENKI 1 you would like to study together. If you have a specific request on how to study together, please feel free to let me know that too.
I will be your "study partner" to work in tandem with you. I will be there, ready to help and explain. You can relax and go at your own pace, and more importantly, I would like you to make the most of the time with me.

- I have the 2nd edition of GENKI 1 and 2.
- This is not a typical class where the teacher teaches only using a textbook. I will be there and help you based on your requests and needs.
- I would recommend that you try to use Japanese as much as possible when we are together. But of course, you can use English when you are having trouble expressing yourself. I will also use English when you are having trouble understanding what I am saying in Japanese.
- If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to let me know.
