We used a story to discuss during the lesson. Jack guided me in predicting its genre and gave me a lot of chances to read and ask questions about the story. It’s helpful for students to learn how to ask questions as we are used to answering questions from a teacher. So, I find it beneficial for me to learn and practice my speaking in the lesson. Plus, Jack is really friendly and a guidable teacher. Thank you very much.

The tutor is very nice and polite. I really appreciated that the tutor accepted my lesson request very quickly and sent me the friend request of Skype initiatively. After having a warm greeting and self introduction, we studied the American poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. In this lesson, we focused on reading first two paragraphs of this poem. I tried to shadow what the tutor’s British pronunciation and tone. It was new to me! In my opinion, he was very kind and professional that she had well preparation about the teaching material. I enjoyed the lesson very much.

This lesson is really useful for training interrogative sentences. Jack started by showing a paragraph in the chat box. We practiced reading it aloud, then after Jack asked some questions about the story, I had to ask some questions too. Making interrogative sentences right away was surprisingly difficult. I've always struggled with interrogative sentences, but I finally found a way to practice them in this lesson.
