Having been a teacher myself for a few years, I could tell that she was an experienced teacher. She is quite thorough with her explanation of her lessons and expounded upon how she would tailor her lesson to my needs and goals. I would definitely recommend her to any student seeking professional advice and individualized curriculum for their betterment in Japanese.

We had a very enjoyable lesson. She was prompt and well prepared and put forth a lot of effort to make it fun for my kids, who are 5 and 6. We had some problems with the microphone on our end and she was very patient while we figured out a solution.

I have been taking lessons with Yuka-sensei for a while now, and I cannot say enough how happy I am with our lessons. Yuka-sensei always prepares excellent materials in accordance with my needs, and the lessons themselves are fun and engaging. We usually read through the provided materials together while Yuka-sensei corrects my pronunciation and we go through any new vocabulary together. Her explanations are completely in Japanese, but so thorough and easily understandable that we've never once encountered a new word she couldn't explain to me. Her kind personality and very clear, professional Japanese make the lessons even better. The 50 minutes always fly by in no time, and I notice myself using phrases and words I learned in her lessons during work. I hope I will be able to continue with Yuka-sensei for a long time. :)

For now I just took a trial, but Yuka-san assessed my Japanese level quite quickly and professionally. It also really helps that she is very kind and easy to understand while still maintaining her professional attitude. We discussed how I can improve from my current level and she gave me an outlook of how we are going to proceed with our next classes. I'm looking forward to our next class soon! ^^

Yuka san was very friendly and kind.
Although I'm a beginner, we could understand each other.
She tested my Japanese level and recommended a method of study, on my level. She has material for each lesson and uses the repetition method.
It was my first lesson ever with a Japanese teacher and it was very interesting.

This is my first session with Yuka 先生 and it is amazing . She told me some tips in learning Japanese and explain her lesson well , i got some new vocab and grammar in the counseling session , I really recommend this for anyone who is studying Japanese because she explain things clearly and easy to understand , for beginners don't be afraid cause she speaks very slowly if you can't catch up . Thanks for the lesson and see u again (人''▽｀)ありがとう☆

Had a JLPT N2 lessson on grammar.
The method of Yuka Sensei is repetition and pattern drilling thru example sentences in order for the student to remember the lesson point.
One day after, without looking at any notes, I can still remember the 1st 3 of the 4 patterns we discussed: kara to iu mono, tomokaku, okagede. Which sounds good for a forgetful person like me.
Yuka Sensei was able to answer all my questions satisfyingly in Nihongo. Her speaking pace is easy to understand perhaps due to her daily work of actual teaching offline.
She also sent homework drills after the lesson and requested to send back the accomplished homework for checking, and encouraged me to ask questions even after the lesson which is great follow-up.
In order to make the most of the lesson, I recommend the student request specific material beforehand, to focus on the difficult parts. -

I always get kind of nervous before my first lesson with a new teacher, but Yuka Sensei was so easy to talk to that I felt comfortable right away. She asked me a lot of spot on questions about what I want to study and how I want to go about improving. I'm really glad I started with the counseling session.
