Ayumi-sensei does a great job of explaining grammar. I asked her to speak only in Japanese, which can’t be easy for her because I’m only at N4 level, but she is able to do that. Because she is doing as I asked, I’m able to progress more quickly in my ability to understand and speak because I’m forced to use Japanese.

Ayumi-sensei managed to make the lesson both informative and laid-back. I get nervous trying to speak Japanese, but she put me at ease. She used creative ways to explain the material.

Another great lesson from Ayumi Sensei. The lesson was so much fun and the feedback after the lesson was amazing. I can study the feedback all week and learn so much. I just had a truly amazing lesson with Ayumi Sensei. I am amazed at how good of a teacher she is. She really is a good teacher She is highly gifted to teach Japanese and engage in a variety of topics. After the lesson I received written feedback. The feedback was so good. I learned so much!

Another fun class with Ayumi先生. She's always so patient and friendly! I feel comfortable talking about a variety of things because Ayumi先生 speaks English proficiently, so whenever I get stuck, she teaches me new words/sentences. After every class, I always end up learning a bunch of new vocabulary. I'm already looking forward to our next class!

Ayumi-san is such a wonderful teacher. She is so kind and so interested in the conversation. I get nervous when I practice speaking Japanese and it's important for me to feel comfortable with the other person. With Ayumi-san, I do not feel nervous at all and feel comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them. She also provides incredible follow-up notes which are very helpful for study. I speak Japanese slowly, make a bunch of mistakes, and pause a lot mid-sentence to think about the right word or grammar to use, but あゆみ先生 remains patient and kind throughout the class. Also, あゆみ先生's English is excellent, so I feel comfortable talking about a variety of topics because I know that if I don't know how to describe something, あゆみ先生 can teach me new vocabulary and grammar related to that topic. I learned a bunch today! Looking forward to the next one!

あゆみ先生 was a pleasure to talk to. My Japanese is still very basic so during class, I couldn't even say basic sentences well and I struggled to form sentences, but あゆみ先生 was super patient and kind. I appreciate that I can slowly start using the words and grammar structures I've learned on my own so far with あゆみ先生's free-talking lessons. I look forward to our next class!

It was a great class with あゆみ先生! I'm a beginner Japanese learner so I was worried I wouldn't be able to say anything at all. Thankfully, あゆみ先生 asked me questions about myself and I was able to answer using the words I knew! I'm so happy I got to practice speaking some Japanese! Also, あゆみ先生 patiently waited if I needed time to think. She never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She also wrote new words and sentences in the chat, and she told me she would send me feedback after our class. I look forward to it so I can properly review. I will certainly take more classes! :)

Thank you so much! Ayumi-san was gentle and fun. She asked so many great questions to get to know me. She was able to communicate clearly in writing as well as verbally which made it very easy for me to understand and learn.

Ayumi-sensei's written notes following the lesson include a summary of our conversation, as well as new vocabulary, and are very helpful. I'm able to make use of those notes to start the next day's lesson with a review. Then we move on to new grammar and conversation, which works out well.
