Although there are, of course, many things that make me happy, there’s one little thing that I always look forward to when I go outside. On my way to the supermarket, post office, or subway station, I always pass by a particular basement apartment. The owners often leave the window open, and their orange cat sleeps in the window or comes out to sit on the sidewalk. It’s the friendliest cat I’ve ever seen and it always greets people who pass by. If I have a chance, I stop to pet the cat for a few minutes, and it actually makes me really happy. I grew up with cats, but I’ve never had one at my apartment in Toronto. All six of my family’s cats live with my parents in the countryside. So, whenever I need a furry friend, I go for a walk and visit the orange cat in my neighbourhood! 

(Unfortunately, it's cold and snowy this week, so the orange cat is staying inside and I couldn't get a picture. I'll update this post later if I can get a good picture!)
