parklet

Hi students!

What's a parklet?
It's a new word that has changed meaning a little since the pandemic.
It used to mean a tiny urban park on the sidewalk (already a new concept and word).
During the pandemic, restaurants were closed for a long time.
Later, they were allowed to have outdoor dining only, since it would be safer.
Many restaurants added parklets on the sidewalk or street outside their restaurants for outdoor dining. The weather is quite mild here most of the year. The parklets, and outdoor dining, have become popular. They might continue to use them for a while.

Here is a picture of a parklet, with no one using it since some restaurants were closed today for the holiday.
