5) The Law Of Dharma – Purpose In Life

Feb 16, 2021

Everyone has a purpose in life . . . a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal- “Deepak Chopra

I will put the Law of Dharma into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

 1)  Today I will lovingly nurture the god or goddess in the embryo that lies deep within    my soul. I will pay attention to the spirit within me that animates both my body and my mind. I will awaken myself to this deep stillness within my heart. I will carry the consciousness of timeless,   eternal Being in the midst of a time-bound experience.

 2)  I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents. When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well as in the lives of others.

 3)  I will ask myself daily, “How can I serve?” and “How can I help?” The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love.

a)        Revisit Your Greatest Accomplishments

Accomplishments are often made because of courage. Stepping forward in faith and looking fear in the eye isn't easy, but it helps us realize what we are truly made of.

 b)       Make It A Habit To Try Something New

Your urge for the familiar is trying to protect you. Make it clear that new things are safe, and you'll get bolder by the week.

Go easy on yourself and start small. Go to a new restaurant. Invite someone you've just met for coffee. Go to a networking event. Try something new every, say, Wednesday. Make it routine. You will be shocked by how quickly change seems much less intimidating.

 c)      Compare The Worst And Best Possible Outcomes

Ask yourself, "What's the worst that could happen?" Then, "What's the best-case scenario of what could happen?"

Both of those questions should help you address any fear or discomfort, then channel energy toward the success of trying or exploring something new.

d)       Make Changes to Your Daily Routine

This is an easy one because it is filled with opportunities to change. Leave early, park a few blocks from work and take a walk.

Do you always watch the morning and evening newscasts, at specified times? Skip it. Use the time to read a book or listen to a podcast or an audiobook.

 Stay safe, kind & considerate.
