My Way of Relaxing!

Weekly Topic: My Way of Relaxing

Суббота, 23 Январь 2021 r. 04:45

Hello Everyone!

This is for the weekly topic, which is about how I relax! I thought this would be a fun one and hopefully everyone else can think about ways to relax as well. We all need some time to relax, especially with everything happening in the world.

Like most of you, I also like to relax by watching tv or movies or reading books. But especially when I'm watching tv or movies, I get bored or antsy pretty easily; I don't like to just sit and watch movies or tv for long periods of time. I really like to feel productive so my favorite thing to do while trying to relax to a movie or tv show is to crochet at the same time!

I know lots of you already know this, but I love to crochet! I always have 1 or more projects that I'm working on at once. Right now, I'm working on a lace dress, a sweater and a pair of socks. My favorite thing to make is lace, but making lace dresses takes a long time and sometimes I like to take a break from them to make something with a larger type of yarn, like sweaters, or smaller fast projects, like socks. It gives me a break and let's me be creative in a different way. Most of the dresses that I make take about 4 to 6 months to make if I work only on it, but it takes much longer when I take breaks.

Do you know what I really wish I could do though? Crochet while exercising! But walking or riding a stationary bike and crocheting at the same time is really hard! Hahaha.

What do you like to do to relax? Is there something you'd like to do but haven't tried yet? It's a new year, so try a new hobby!

As always, feel free to come have a chat with me about your hobby, especially if you want to learn how to express your thoughts in English about your hobby!

Have a great day~

Antsy - unable to relax or sit still; fidgety, restless
Productive - (adjective) having the ability to produce or make
Lace - A delicate decorative fabric woven in an open web of symmetrical patterns, like below (which is something I made in the past!)
