In the USA, UK, and many other western countries, a big part of Christmas celebrations involve Santa Claus. He’s also called Father Christmas in the UK.

Santa Claus is a jolly old man who bringa presents to children on Christmas Eve (24th December).

Santa makes a list every year to decide which presents he should give. This is often called ‘Santa’s list. This is where he records whether a child’s behavior has been bad or good that year. When we talk about Santa’s list, we often ask if you’ve been ‘naughty or nice’.

Children write letters to Santa and ask for presents that they want.

Of course, adults can get presents from Santa too. You just have to believe!  Maybe it would help if you write him a letter too?
