What is Your 4-Letter Personality Code?

Пятница, 6 Март 2015 r. 06:22

Hello Cafetalk Students!

I'm an INFJ, what are you?

Before becoming a teacher, I wanted to be a psychologist or a counsellor. I'm deeply interested in social connections, matters of the heart and mind, and personality analysis. Therefore, I often seek to understand or analyze others and their actions, as well as my own.

Understanding yourself

Lately, I've been helping some students understand themselves better. Some students struggle with their confidence, feel like they don't live up to social expectations, or don't understand themselves in general.

Personality psychologists have come up with 16 basic personality types, which are made up of a 4-letter combination. Each unique combination comes with an explanation of your personality type.

My sister, husband and I did the test, and the descriptions of our personalities matched almost 100%! It was fun reading all of our descriptions. It helped us understand ourselves and each other better.

My description says that my personality type (INFJ) is suited for teachingpsychology or counselling - totally true. Cool, right?

Find out what your 4-letter code is

If you want to find out more about yourself, take the test here.

So, what's your code? Did the description match you? Does your career or current job match your personality?

I will be discussing some of my students' personality codes with them in future lessons. I can't wait!

Integrating English learning in this activity

Because the language in the descriptions are somewhat difficult, I will be explaining vocabulary, phrases and expressions to my students if needed.

Of course, I'm also welcoming new students to try this test. I'd love to discuss your personality code with you in a lesson!

I hope you found this post interesting. See you in class!
