Hi Café Addicts!
Here's the follow up of my last Student Menu post. Today, I'm gonna discuss talk and speak. Fortunately for all of you, talk and speak are not as confusing as say and tell.
Talk
- Commonly used to refer to conversations between people and casual communication: Yuko and Kayo stopped talking when their boss walked into the conference room.
Speak
- Commonly used for one-way communication, and for more formal or serious situations: When I was in high school, teachers often had to speak to me about my disruptive behaviour.
- Used to talk about knowlege and usage of language: Dani's desired superpower is to speak every language in the entire world!

Follow up (phrasal verb, can be used as noun) - Continuation; sequel
Gonna (informal) - contraction of going to - do NOT use this in formal writing!
Fortunately (adverb) - used to say that something good or lucky has happened
