Hi! I'm Joseph Lemke. I have a degree in English: Creative Writing with a minor in German. I have taught English in Texas public schools for more than eight years, including several years as an ESOL teacher.

Having learned multiple languages, I understand the difficulties involved with trying to speak, read, write, and understand a new language. I continue to develop my own skills every day, including learning new languages and taking courses to improve my own teaching skills. For example, I am currently enrolled in a TEFL certification program.

I love all kinds of activities, such as sports, video games, reading, writing, and working on cars. I also love animals, nature, and travel. I have been to Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, Czech Republic, and Mexico, and I plan to see much more in the future.

Using these interests, I try to make lessons as personal as possible, linking what I know to what my students may find interesting.
