Hello! My name is Benyarmin, but feel free to call me Ben!
I’m 25 years old and I was born in New Zealand, though my parents are English so I have a more natural and easy to understand accent!
While I was born in New Zealand, I have spent a lot of time in South East Asia. My family love travelling and I have spent much of my life travelling back and forth between New Zealand and Asia.
Because of my childhood, I became very used to being around unfamiliar cultures and languages and began teaching my local friends English when I was a kid.
This made teaching English a natural career path for me to take!
After gaining my teaching certification (TEFL), I started working online and have over four years of experience, teaching both children and adults.
In fact over my career I have helped kids, through fun games and activities, to become very good English speakers and I’ve also helped business professionals, students and many others pass exams and develop their English abilities.
I take a patient and understanding approach to teaching English, I understand how hard it can be to learn another language and I will always work hard to help my students, through improving their understanding and boosting their confidence.
As for my other interests!
I’m a passionate designer, I love thinking about spaces and at University I gained my honours degree in Interior Architecture and Design!
I also love travelling, I have backpacked throughout South East Asia and Egypt and in 2022 I motorcycled around Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
Also because I am a Kiwi (the nickname of someone from New Zealand) I am a big fan of our national sport, rugby! I also really enjoy watching and playing football, surfing and rock climbing.
I am excited to meet you and together develop your English abilities in a fun and engaging way!
