Hi there! I  am a long-term Japanese language and culture scholar with 15+ years invested in the field. I have 8+ years of language teaching experience including Japanese, English and Slovak. I also have 3+ years of translation experience including a certain degree of interpreting, and I have one year experience managing a language school.

I am very interested in linguistics, especially how language works and how we use it as a communication skill. During my life I focused on Japan, learning the Japanese language, learning about Japanese culture, history, philosophy, geography and society, and I also tried a few traditional arts such as calligraphy, bookbinding or origami.

I also have extensive knowledge of western culture and society, which I acquired studying English and interacting with people from all around the world. In the past, I also learned Spanish and German, of which I have basic understanding, and I explored other languages such as Korean, Italian, Esperanto or Latin, to name a few.

I enjoy learning about philosophy, sociology, biology or physics, especially astrophysics. I like to travel and experience new cultures and new food. I am trying to stay up-to-date by watching news and documentaries.

As a hobby, I Iike to listen to music, play guitar, compose music, create videos, write, watch films and play video games.
