Hello and Ohayo! I'm Marisa, originally from South New Jersey, USA, now residing in Kanagawa, Japan with my Japanese husband and our three cats Cherry, Hanami and Belle. My hobbies include reading, casual writing, karaoke, anime/manga, podcasts, and cheering for my all-time favorite American football team, the Eagles.

Japan captured my heart after reading Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes in elementary school, and my fascination continued through college. I graduated with a degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Asian Regional Studies and obtained TESOL certification from Oxford Seminars.

With over 15 years of experience in English education, I blend my theater background to teach cultural nuances, including customer service etiquette. I specialize in personalized lessons tailored to individual goals, fostering a relaxed learning environment.
