A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi there, let me introduce myself. Mu name is Jim and 
I currently live in Spain with my wife, my children, grandchildren and my animals.

My hometown in Spain

I was born in the UK in a small village near to London in 1970 and since then I have lived and worked in a number of countries including Spain, Turkey, Singapore and Australia.

MY TEACHING LIFE

After working in  sales and marketing in a number of industries including the travel industry, i decided to train as an English teacher and after taking my TEFL course I started teaching in 2011

My first teaching job was at an intensive English camp for Spanish school children where we used the Environment as a topic to help them improve their English.
It was strange as I had to travel away from my home and family and  I was very nervous about the upcoming job... and then it came...
My first lesson ..
 As I closed the door and looked at the young faces looking at me I did think ... what if they hate my lesson or don't understand what I'm saying . ....

I then introduced myself to the class and they responded in English .... and they were smiling.... The next hour flew by and at the end of the lesson my new students all thanked me for the class and I felt so HAPPY!!.

I went on to work for  a week at that camp and then straight to another camp for 3 more weeks and at the end of it I was hooked .., it was official  I LOVED TEACHING

Since then I have gone on to work both online and in the classroom teaching adults and children. I can help with Conversational English, General English, Business English and Grammar.

I love teaching and am a strong believer that making the lessons fun and relevant to the student is one of the best ways for the student to learn.

Away from teaching, I love spending time with my family and my animals. I enjoy watching sport, reading and writing.
