Hi there!

Welcome to my Cafetalk profile, and thank you for your interest in my lessons.

My name is Thijs, but you can also call me Peter, and I am here for you to help you practice and improve your English language skills!

How I teach:
I believe that learning a language is all about being confident and comfortable. The lessons you will take are all adjusted to your experience and abilities. We can go over topics and skills that you are interested in learning, and together we can make an effective plan for you to become a better English speaker!

Getting started for free:
Maybe you are all new to this and would like to get to know me first. Therefore, I am providing a free get-to-know trial for all new students! In this session, we can take the time to get to know each other, and create a plan to help you improve your English!

My teaching experience:
My teaching career actually already started when I was only 17 years old. In high school, I started helping students with their English homework, and I provided one-on-one teaching for younger students. During my bachelor's degree program I have worked as an exam trainer at the University of Groningen. In this job, I helped freshmen students prepare for their final exams. These two jobs have helped me develop valuable teaching experience!

My qualifications:
- English taught bachelor's degree International Business
- TOEFL certificate proof of academic English
- TEFL certificate 120-hours (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)

About me:
I grew up in the Netherlands just outside of Amsterdam. However, since travelling is one of my passions, I am currently living in Thailand. I have actually lived in Australia for a year as well! Other things I love to do are exercising, outdoor sports, reading, and teaching of course ;)

I am a compassionate and open person who would love to help you become a better and more confident English speaker. I hope that we can get to know each other soon!
