About me
Hello! I`d like to introduce myself - my name is Dan, and i`m from the beautiful and exciting city of Bristol, in south west England. I`ve been teaching English for just over 4 years now, working in Nagoya, Japan for the last six months and before that, in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. I`ve also spent time exploring and living in Canada, Spain and New Zealand.
My qualifications and other work experience
I hold a Trinity CertTESOL English teaching qualification and I studied journalism at university - for as long as I can remember i`ve had a passion for the English language. Before I became an English teacher, I worked in various industries including telecommunications, charities, public sector and banking.
How do I teach?
I'm a friendly teacher, but during lessons I really like to get students to focus on the mistakes they make, especially those which are repeated or habitual. I'm also experienced and capable of explaining all kinds of grammar and vocabulary. Japanese, Czech and Spanish native speakers may find that my experience teaching and living in those countries helps me to understand their particular learning needs, and the typical challenges and difficulties they face.
Outside work
When i'm not teaching you can find me outdoors, running, taking photos, or travelling, or if i'm feeling lazy, maybe indoors watching football or films or reading!
A final word...
I really enjoy helping my students reach their full potential, whatever their reason for taking lessons. I look forward to teaching you!

I also have a passion for the English language – I studied Journal...
