Hello everyone! I'm Aya.
After graduating from university I moved to America, and curently I live in California.

I've worked in Japan as an English teacher at private kindergartens, as an assistant teacher at elementary schools and as a priavte tutor. I've had the opportunity to work closely with children of many ages and abilities, but have focused mainly on elementary schoolers and it's my aim to give them, above all, fun English instruction.

It was during my time as an intern at a Japanese language school in Malaysia that made me interested in teaching Japanese, and I completed a Japanese teacher training course. I've always liked foreign language study and have normally been engaged in language exchange with foreigners, helping them with things like the JLPT. I believe the key to learning a language is consistency, so even if you have only a little bit of time please be sure to talk with me and enjoy learning Japanese!

Also, I've been involved in my beloved Okinawa's traditional dance for over 20 years, and have been playing the Ryukyu koto for over 10 years and currently I teach both. Even while overseas I'd like to foster interest in my beloved Okinawa's traditions, so I've begun as an online teacher here on Cafetalk. If you're interested please don't hesitate!
