Hello!

I am originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, which is a beautiful city near the Rocky Mountains. In Canada I worked professionally in the Petroleum industry where I was responsible for interviewing as well as delivering presentations to Executive teams.

I have been a volunteer teacher for a number of years and now I teach English both online and in the classroom.  I received my TESOL certificate from Coventry House International. I have experience teaching pronunciation, natural accent/intonation, exam preparation (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, EIKEN STEP) conversation as well as business English.   

I am currently living in Thailand where I am learning to speak Thai, which I find very challenging and rewarding; it has really helped me understand the feelings of someone learning a new language. Learning another language takes hard work, but I think it's important to have fun at the same time. I enjoy teaching English, and I enjoy motivating people. I love the challenge of discovering each students learning style and tailoring lessons to meet their needs and goals. It is my goal to help each student to reach their full potential. 

I enjoy travelling and I am interested in Fitness, and enjoy running, Yoga and strength training. In Canada I enjoyed winter sports, but since I now live in Thailand I am starting to learn some water sports. I recently went surfing in Bali and decided it is my new favorite sport. Next month I will go scuba diving and see how I like that!
