My name is Amy McEwen, and I'm a recent graduate of the University of Birmingham, achieving a 2:1 in English with Classical Literature and Civilisation.

I specialise in teaching English at all levels, however, I can also teach basics in piano and ukulele. I have taught English previously in Italy to Italian students aged 7-14 in a classroom environment, and found it very rewarding. I have also given casual basic piano and ukulele lessons to friends and relatives.

My native langauge is English, but I can also speak some simple conversational Japanese, Italian and German. I aim to teach English in Japan in the near future, and I am also learning Japanese to a higher level to prepare for this.

I am a friendly and patient person, and would consider myself a good listener. I like to use easy visual examples and PowerPoint presentations in my teaching, and can adapt to any pace the tutee would prefer :-)
