TEFL Certified Native English Speaker

Hello students!

My name is Cora Bisignano and I am a TEFL certified native English teacher from the United States.  I am a passionate teacher with many years of experience. I love helping my students become confident and fluent in speaking, understanding and writing English.  I focus on conversational and business English and have worked in various fields alongside upper-level management as well.

My aim is to help you understand the English language so that when you speak or write it, you are able to convey your thoughts and feelings in a way that everyone can understand. I work specifically with improving grammar, simplifying your thoughts (getting rid of sentences and words that are not needed to convey what you're thinking), and most importantly pronunciation. I have worked in many different settings while teaching English. I have worked 1 on 1 (face to face), online, and in group settings.

Before I started teaching I was a life coach for several years.  I found this to be quite rewarding as I was able to help my clients move past personal blocks that they struggled with. I enjoyed working with each client because I got to see them blossom and become the person they truly wanted to be. Through reflection, I understood how important it was for me to help others. I continue to coach and teach my students with the same patience and care that I have always given them.  

My teaching style is fun, casual and light.  I know it can be difficult to learn a second language, so I want you to learn where you don't feel pressured and you're still getting what you need from each lesson I give.

My lessons are custom made for every student I have.  I focus on what your needs are and create lessons based on what you want most from learning English.  After each lesson, I always give feedback on what I think you can practice and improve on.

Some of my interests are: traveling and learning about different cultures. I love being active and exercising. My hobbies are reading, sewing, hiking, and my favorite: cooking!
