We are happy to announce the results of the Cafetalk Piano Scholarship, the first installment of Cafetalk's Scholarship Program.
We will be posting updates about our 3 scholarship students as they prepare for their piano competitions. Please cheer them on!
Meet Our 1st Scholarship Students

- Since 9/2015 ~ roughly 7 months

- Retired at the age of 10 and restarted 3 years ago, after about 30 years.

- None to date (even as a child)

- The preliminaries for a famous competition in the Kansai Area
- Student Statement
- Thank you so much for allowing me to participate in this fun project. Since I'm making my very first attempt at a competition debut in my 40's, I keep worrying about how things are going to turn out, but I am going to give it my all and enjoy the journey.

- Roughly 4 months
- Piano Experience
- 3 years (7 years learning music, but she learned electone until preschool). After moving, we had to find him another piano teacher and he fell into a bit of a piano slump, but she's making a comeback thanks to Cafetalk!
- Competition Experience
- In the 2nd grade, she passed the preliminaries for Southern Japan's Junior Piano Competition. We didn't expect that she'd make it so far so we rushed to buy her new sheet music, but she only had a just over a week to practice and naturally got eliminated due to lack of preparation.

- Since we were given such a special opportunity, we will work very hard as a family to gain our confidence back and win!
