My Dearest Students,
I hope this message finds you well and not too startled by the subject line! I’m writing to confess that I've plotted a daring escape... to the exotic realms of my own backyard and the wild frontiers of my finances. Yes, from June 3 to June 10, I'll be on a thrilling "staycation" dedicated to tackling the adventurous long overdue tasks of taxes (BLECH! One of my least favorite tasks!), jungle-like yardwork, and my wife’s “Honey-Do List.” (I can't just say, "Yes, Dear" anymore, I really have to do some of the list!)
Now, don't worry! If you've been the early bird who already booked your lesson during these dates, your diligence pays off – our classes will go on as scheduled! Consider it a small oasis of English in the midst of my domestic safari. (It will be a nice escape from the drudgery!)
I hope this doesn’t throw a wrench in any of your plans, but if it does, feel free to express your feelings in our next meeting. I'll brace myself for any (gentle) yelling you might deem necessary.
If you have any questions, or need to vent, or just want to chat about anything, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Missing you all already and looking forward to our next adventure in learning!
Warmest regards,
Manning
P.S. If you hear any unusual sounds next week, it’s probably just me battling the fearsome shrubbery.
