Practise English comprehension skills, through Q&A, Discussion and Review. Gain valuable experience and boost your confidence!
In this Lesson, we will first choose an interesting article from a range of topics of interest, namely Travel, News and Sports-&-Entertainment.
We will briefly discuss the outline of the given Reading-and-Comprehension lesson. We will understand together first how to best conduct our roles as Speaker and Listener, and then we'll proceed.
1- READING - Teacher and Student.
2- COMPREHENSION - Teacher poses Questions, and seeks coherent Answers; in order to help the Student develop and improve Comprehension Skills. Friendly and empathetic support throughout :)
3- READING STAGE 2 - Student reads specific parts again, to help further develop overall comprehension of the text.
4- DISCUSSION / REVIEW - A free discussion between Teacher and Student about the article at hand, the ideas and intentions conveyed by the author through the medium of the text - helping the student to further develop their critical thinking skills via English.
In the Review, we will identify any areas that require a little bit more work, and ensure that you have good notes to reference for after class.
