This lesson is good for students who want a structured way to learn and build their English Vocabulary. It is a great way to practise your reading comprehension and speaking in the same lesson. If you are booking this lesson, feel free to send me a message to let me know what topics you enjoy reading about and your current level of English. The topics include:
Business
Culture
Education
Environment
Health
Holidays
Relationship
Psychology
Science and Technology
How it works:
I will send you two articles for your review. For example, if you choose Culture, one text might be "Happiness Rankings around the World" and the other one "Want to Emigrate?", or if you choose Science and Technology, you might get a text about Compulsive Internet Disorder, or Extreme Views on the Internet. On the other hand, opting for Relationships, your text could be "When to get married", or "Bribing Children to Behave"(There are many more texts to choose from) During the lesson we will either read the artcicle together, or you will summarize it, if you have already read it before the class. It will be followed by some exercises, vocabulary build-up and a discussion about the topic itself. You will get plenty of oportunities to speak, I will ask you a lot of questions using new vocabulary and you will be expected to give answers using the same new words. This way, you will learn how to put them in a sentence, your fluency will improve as well as your confidence when speaking English.
