Reading an economic news article about overturism in Japan and its impact on business management was a valuable learning experience for me. I learned many unfamililiar Kanji and new vocabularies and enhanced my understanding of current economic challenges in Japan. If readig is one of objectives in learning Japanese, taking Yumiko-sensei's lesson certainly will help you attain your objective.

It is interesting to learn Japanese tea ceremony online after reading "日日是好日," a Japanese book on one's journey for learning Sado. Sado, going beyond structured form and procedure, focuses on spiritual training on how we deal with everything in life just like Zen. Arikawa-sensei was very familiar with the procedures and showed me how to use essential tools to make a cup of delicious tea. Even though a short lesson would never be enough to know the depth of Sado, I felt it was a good learning experience that I truly enjoyed.

My lesson was interesting. I was given a lot of opportunities to ask questions. At the start of the lesson, there was a slight technical hitch. But this was quickly corrected & the lesson progressed successfully. I am very grateful.

I was very nervous since I'm not very good at talking with people I don't know or finding topics to talk about, but the tutor made the conversation flow easily. I really appreciated that she did not hesitate to correct me when I was talking, she would suggest better expressions or words to mine and she would repeat what I said so I could hear it in a natural Japanese.

Arikawa-sensei spoke very clearly and slowly, and typed any words I didn't know in the chat box. We were able to talk easily about various topics, and she always made me feel comfortable speaking. I think she is a good conversation teacher for beginners.
