Today we talked about social media. 리아 선생님 shared words and expressions I could've used to sound more natural. I appreciate the coaching I got because I can see myself having conversations about social media in Korean in the future, so it was great to learn how to speak about this topic more naturally. Also, a fascinating aspect of 리아 선생님's class is the questions she asks. They allow me to learn more about myself, and the questions spark a fun discussion about Korean culture (which I always love learning more about). Moreover, 리아 선생님 is very knowledgeable, so the things she shares are super interesting :)

Another great speaking coaching class with 리아 선생님! I always enjoy being introduced to new expressions, especially when discussing topics I foresee myself discussing with others in the future. Moreover, I sometimes use words and expressions I heard before in songs, which might not be the most natural word/expression to use in daily conversation ^^ I appreciate that 리아 선생님's speaking coaching ensures I speak Korean naturally without sounding awkward. I look forward to the next class!!

Because 리아 선생님 is knowledgeable about history and culture, I asked about 6.25 전쟁. It was a content-rich lesson in that I got to learn more about Korean history as well as hear words I learned in self-study in context. We also discussed other social issues like low birth rates. It's always interesting to talk about a variety of social issues with 리아 선생님. Looking forward to the next class!

Due to the flu I caught, I wasn't able to speak much, so I asked 리아 선생님 if she could share more about Korean history and culture. 리아 선생님 agreed and she was able to answer my questions about Korean history and culture. I could clearly see how knowledgeable 리아 선생님 was. The things she shared were interesting and thought-provoking. She brought up social issues stemming from seemingly "innocent" things (like 한국 나이) that I had never thought about before. Even though I wasn't able to receive coaching on my speaking skills due to my sore throat, today's class was still very fulfilling. I look forward to the next one!

Today we talked about 여행 and we both ended up talking about unpleasant experiences we had while traveling. It was very fun and interesting to hear 리아 선생님's experiences. As always, 리아 선생님 was very patient with my slow Korean and listened attentively when I shared my experiences. I also always enjoy answering 리아 선생님's questions. They always spark such juicy discussions! Looking forward to the next one :)

Another great lesson with 리아 선생님! We talked about 여행 and I received coaching on my speaking skills. I appreciate that 리아 선생님 kindly pointed out words that may be used often in books but not in real life conversations. Also, the discussion that spurred out of the 여행 topic was fun and insightful. I’m already looking forward to the next lesson!

It was another great class with 리아 선생님! I not only received coaching on my speaking skills but also learned new vocabulary. 리아 선생님 provided more natural expressions for the things I said because they might have been grammatically correct but not very natural. Sometimes I also find myself translating directly word for word from English, which doesn't translate well into Korean ^^ I'm glad I can learn natural expressions with 리아 선생님. Today she also shared interesting cultural tidbits about South Korea that I found interesting. Looking forward to the next one :)

Another fantastic lesson with 리아 선생님. I want to convey my thoughts confidently in Korean and that includes pronunciation, intonation, choice of words, how I connect sentences, etc, so I really enjoy receiving her coaching on my speaking skills. Also, 리아 선생님 taught me other ways to say the same thing I wanted to say. I could feel my vocabulary improving with each class. Moreover, today 리아 선생님 shared a tip that announcers use to improve their speaking skills. I look forward to next week's class!

I received great coaching from 리아 선생님 today as well. 리아 선생님 asks interesting questions each time so in this class, I am not only able to receive coaching on my Korean speaking skills but also reflect on myself, my values, my likes and dislikes, etc. Also, 리아 선생님's coaching ensures I speak Korean naturally. For example, today I said "돈에 대해서 이야기하다" which wasn't wrong, but to sound even more natural, 리아 선생님 suggested saying 돈 얘기. She also taught me commonly used words like 졸부 and 쪼잔하다 to increase my vocabulary. I'll certainly take more classes!

Wow that was an interesting class!! In a short amount of time, I got to learn a ton about South Korean culture. The materials were well-prepared and thorough. On top of that, 리아 선생님 was very knowledgeable and she provided a detailed explanation for each topic so I could understand the historical/societal/cultural context of what was being taught. I feel like this class will help me understand Korean dramas more deeply!

The coaching I received today was great! I learned how to explain myself better so the listener could fully understand what I was talking about by adding more context. I also received coaching on conjunctive endings to connect 2 sentences to sound more natural (e.g., using -서 instead of 그래서). Moreover, in response to my answer to her questions, 리아 선생님 shared cultural and societal tidbits about South Korea which I loved hearing about! And her questions were always interesting, so the things she shared were interesting as well. I look forward to next week's class!

I've taken 3 speaking coaching classes so far and enjoyed each one! What I like best is being able to actively practice speaking with the newly learned words and expressions right then and there. I noticed that this method helps with memory retention. I also appreciate the thoughtful questions 리아 선생님 prepared. I look forward to receiving more coaching on my Korean speaking skills!

In today's class, we talked about 대인관계 and 회화. I struggled more than usual to come up with the right Korean words to express what I wanted to say, but 리아 선생님 was patient throughout. The coaching she gave me today was great as well. I appreciate that I had to use new words and expressions right then and there, which is helpful for memorization. For example, I realized that in today's class, without intending to, I used a new expression that 리아 선생님 taught me before! Getting coached on my speaking skills certainly helps.

It was another fantastic lesson. I requested that we continued talking about 대인관계 today just like we did in the last lesson and the questions 리아 선생님 prepared were great! The questions made me think about my relationships and I enjoyed that I got to convey those thoughts in Korean. I really appreciated how 리아 선생님 coached me on my entire answer to ensure that my answer was as natural as possible (because what I said may be grammatically correct but not something Koreans would say on a daily basis). I loved the coaching I received and I’m already looking forward to the next lesson!

It was an amazing first class with 리아 선생님! It was my first time taking a speaking coaching class, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a fantastic time and I learned so much. I received coaching on answers I gave to 리아 선생님's questions so I was able to learn more natural ways of expressing what I just said. For example, I said 지각하는 친구 and 리아 선생님 suggested that I could say 시간 약속 밥 먹듯이 안 지키는 친구 or 시간 약속 밥 먹듯이 어기는 친구. The best part was that I was encouraged to re-answer the question using newly learned expressions, which I believe is a great method because actively using these expressions will help me memorize them so I can use them in future conversations. I will definitely take another class!
