I am once again studying the English grammar topic of 'tenses'.
I get confused sometimes and make mistakes, so I think the only way to get used to it is to study it repeatedly, but it is quite difficult.
In the study materials, the surrounding sentences give hints, making it easy to answer questions, but it will probably take some time to apply what I have learned in real situations. -

In this lesson, we were once again taught the difference between the 'present tense' and the 'present continuous'.
The fact that there is significance in deliberately using the 'present continuous' is something I had never learned in my previous English studies.
As a native English speaker, the teacher was able to explain the key points in Japanese in an easy-to-understand way, which I was very grateful for. -

Thanks to Stephen's lessons, I now understand why my English skills have not improved.
He can explain things to me in Japanese, so I can deepen my understanding at the same time as he teaches me.
I really realised that it takes time to understand something using only English. -

Yesterday, I met and spoke with Teacher Stephen for the first time.
He was very friendly and I was very happy.
We have a lot in common to talk about, and he has the English learning materials that I used, so I'd like to leave it to him and focus on my English studies. -

Thank you so much! It was fun trial lesson and he arranged the contents to fit my request. Not only grammatical points, but he helped me to find topics of questions/speaking in the first meeting situation. Thanks to it, I could survive today and I had no trouble to communicate with new people in English.

Steven is a good tutor. I recommend all students to take his classes. Any level is available! Especially for beginner students, he's nice because he can understand Japanese :)

I take his lessons once a week. He always responds sincerely to my various requests. I am currently focusing on pronunciation. I am not improving as much as I would like, but he is patient with me. He is bilingual, so he is able to correct my pronunciation strictly and tell me what to do in Japanese. I appreciate it very much.

Today we learned about the present perfect.
Ever since I was a student, I have had difficulty learning about tenses, and I often have trouble distinguishing between the present perfect and the past tense.
The more I think about it, the more confused I get, and the more I can't find the words.
I think that by studying it repeatedly, I will be able to pick it up, but since I'm not in an environment where I can get used to speaking only Japanese, I think I need to make a habit of expressing myself in English on a regular basis.
