After five lessons with Riza-sensei, I can say that she is a very experienced and professional instructor and I have enjoyed learning with her. The business Japanese module is well-designed and there are always new honorifics, vocabularies, and pronunciation for me to work on. On top of honorifics, the lesson is balanced with another reading material that provides opportunities for reading, shadowing, or discussion. The feedback from sensei after lesson have been always very detailed and useful as well!

Riza-sensei is very professional in her approach and spends a lot of time understanding the needs and goals of the student. She also uses great material that she has put together herself. She has a nice manner and is easy to talk to. Having worked in a business environment she is well qualified to teach business Japanese. Highly recommended for students who are serious about improving their Japanese.

I had a great class with Riza-sensei. This is a class you can take at your own pace, which is great, and Riza-sensei can choose the topic and materials for you, so there is no need for lots of preparation. She sent me an audio file and I chose the dictation option. It was a good way to test my comprehension and listening skills, and Riza-sensei sent a PDF with clear feedback. I look forward to correcting the words I missed and resubmitting the file to Riza-sensei. For busy learners, this course is one of the best you can take. Audio files sent by sensei are very clear and easy to understand. Sensei can also respond to your messages very quickly. Listening to the news, doing the dictation, and imitating the sounds several times helped me increase not only my vocabulary but also my grammar skills. Thank you for this lesson.

Tigim-sensei prepared very interesting studying materials for discussion about cultural differences between Japanese and America societies. It was an excellent foundation to have significant dialogues about how and why there are very visible differences between Japanese and American corporate culture.She listened carefully and responded with encouraging follow-up questions. It was a very good learning experience for me to take her lessons.

This is my second class with Tigim-sensei to continue our dialogues about differences between Japanese and American culture. The materials prepared by the teacher was very pertinent and practical to stimulate discussions because they reflects fundamantal thinking patterns are different culturally. People familiar with one culture may take things for granted in another culture. The reality is unless one is fully aware of the difference and behave according to the other culture. A good intention or gesture may create misunderstanding, conflict and mistrust. This class helps me better understand Japanese culture from an Amereican culture perspective. It also enhnaces my understanding about social, cultural and business issues in Japan. Therefore, I truly enjoyed my lesson with Tigim-sensei and look forward to taking her lesson again to continue our unfinished portion soon!

Tigim-sensei sent me very useful studying material before my lesson so that I could read it thoroughly. It was a very interesting discussion about cultural differences between Japan and America. She facilitated our discussion very well by asking relevant questions that I had to respond spontaneously. In addition to practicing my Japanese conversation, I got to review and learn the differeces between Japanese and American business culture. It was a valuable learning experience that I really enjoyed.
