We talked about my trip to Australia.
I showed the pictures and talked my experience as follows.
She listened to my story eagerly and asked me a lot.
My wife and I went to Australia 3 years ago.
We visited Uluru and cairns, dessert, beautiful sea and rainforest mountain.
We experienced the nature of different climate from Japan.
So we enjoyed the trip a lot and spent money a lot. -

We talked about her experience in foreign country.
She showed me the pictures and explained them.
She worked in foreign country more than 2 years before she came to Japan.
I hadn’t worked in foreign country, so I was interested in her story.
She talked her story eagerly every time. -

We talked about the foods that I had eaten.
I chose the pictures of the foods from my photo library in my smartphone and I showed these pictures and introduced them.
She asked me a lot and I answered eagerly.
I was happy that she was interested in the foods that we could eat in Japan. -

I explained some questions about Japanese that she prepared.
Her questions were very difficult to explain in English, because there was no one to one correspondence between English and Japanese.
So I taught different meanings depending on the case.
It’s difficult, however, very interesting for us, so we’ll talk about the same topic next lesson. -

We talked about the book that I read.
It’s the book about FLOW, psychological word,
It means concentration.
I showed her the document that I summarized contents of the book and I explained it.
After I explained it, I told my experience as examples.
Then I asked her examples that she experienced.
She told her examples immediately.
So I recognized that she understood my explanation and I was happy.
We enjoyed the lesson. -

We talked about the sports in her country.
She introduced me 2 sprots.
She showed me some pictures and video.
First one was smiler to judo in Japan.
Second one was very unique sports in her country.
It came from horse riding.
It’s very interesting.
I felt the difference of culture.

I we talked about new year’s event and Japanese martial arts.
First I introduced 除夜の鐘 and 初詣.
I showed the video clip that I took to introduce them.
She was very interested in them and asked me a lot.
Second I explained Japanese martial arts, especially kendo, because I practiced kendo.
I made a document including the important points of Japanese martial arts before the lesson to explain it.
She understood the points and my purpose that I practiced kendo.
We talked a lot and enjoyed this lesson. -

We talked about festivals in Japan.
I introduced 2 festivals.
1.the unique festival that is held in my hometown.
2.bon dance festival that is held in many places in Japan, common festival.
I showed her the pictures of festival floats.
She was interested in them and asked me about their history.
However I could not answer because I didn’t know their histories.
I felt that I should study the festivals including their histories.
Her questions gave me challenges every lesson, so I enjoyed her lesson every time. -

We talked about national holidays in Japan.
She showed me one part of the Japanese text book that included some Japanese national holidays.
She asked me what Japanese people celebrated on those holidays.
I answered her questions and explained Japanese culture and traditions.
She was interested in Hina matsuri festival in March 3rd, because her daughter was little girl.
I was happy to hear that, because I could recognize that she understood my explanation. -

We talked about transportation.
I introduced the transportation in Japan and my trip to Fukushima prefecture.
When I went to Fukushima pref by bullet train.
Then I rent a car at near the train station and drove some places.
She was interested in Fukushima.
So I showed some pictures that I took.
We talked a lot and enjoyed this lesson. -

We talked about shopping.
First I asked her about the payment.
She answered that payment without cash using smartphones was major in her country.
On the other hand, we use cash a lot, furthermore Some shops even accept only cash in Japan.
It’s interesting.
Then she asked me about the events at the shopping mall, like the Halloween, Christmas.
We talked a lot and enjoyed this lesson. -

We talked about foods in her country.
We used ZOOM on the lesson and it was my first using of ZOOM.
She explained the foods well with power point.
The foods in her country was different from Japanese foods, so it was interesting, especially horse meats.
We enjoyed this lesson. -

We talked about Japanese foods, especially noodles.
I showed the pictures to introduce Zarusoba, tempura soba, tsukemen and ramen.
First I explained how to eat them, especially Zarusoba and tsukemen.
Second I introduced their ingredients.
Third I introduced curry ramen, she found the ingredients and color were different.
I told her that ramen was variable.
She was interested in these noodles.
I was happy to tell her Japanese noodles. -

We talked about education in her country and Japan.
First I introduced the education in Japan, what kind of schools, how long we learn at the each school and the subjects.
Then she asked me my opinions, what did I major in college and why and Why didn’t I go no to the graduate school.
I noticed that I hadn’t thought myself enough.
She gave me the chance to think myself more.
It’s very good and interesting conversation. -

I showed her the pictures and introduced them, old town, nature, big statue, castle…
She was interested in them, so she asked me about them a lot.
We talked a lot and enjoyed this lesson. -

The document included the geography, foods, culture.
I didn’t know about her country before the lesson.
However after I listened to her explanation, I could know about some of her country.
Her explanation was very well. -

She was interested in the castle and she asked me some questions.
So I could tell her the castle enough.
I was happy to hear that.

Then I introduced myself following her document.
After we introduced ourselves, we discussed the topics that we would talk about.
We talked a lot and we enjoyed our first lesson.

She asked why I chose these jobs and what did I do for those jobs, so I answered my options.
Her questions gave me the chance to speak a lot, so I enjoyed this lesson a lot.
