Absolutely brilliant lessons!
I've been learning日本語, Español, Catalán, Français and Cantonese for quite a long time and firmly believed that one of the keys to mastering a foreign language is striving hard to perfect your pronunciation, as it will build up self-confidence, polish listening skills, and needless to say, make you bold enough to speak with natives.
Saya-sensei has been able to precisely grasp my concern and offer bespoke lessons which I exactly crave. Rather than giving me cheerful but empty compliments like "You speak very fluently." to satisfy my vanity, she would strictly point out my mistakes patiently right after I finished my sentences, while in an astonishingly tender way so wouldn't frustrate me at all but instead urge me to do better.
As a mania of accurate accent, I often raised abnormal questions about pronunciation which people hardly care. (sometimes I can't even stand myself either.) Yet, to my surprise, each time she would treat them seriously and provide explicit and easily understandable explanations. In addition, the feedback after lessons is so detailed, noting essential points to remind me to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
Meanwhile, she speaks plenty of foreign languages, so she's truly great at discovering the difficulties you meet based on your mother tongue, no matter they’re about grammars, vocabularies, or pronunciation, which is especially helpful when you can't sort things out from the perspective of your first language.
To be honest, I was certainly struggling to write this review, considering it's likely to multiply the difficulty of booking her lessons in the future. However, it's clearly not fair if such an excellent and dedicated teacher can’t be seen by more students.
"No pain, no gain.", this idiom may suit most of the circumstances, including learning a new language. But what if under the guidance of Saya-sensei? I guarantee that you'll enjoy way much more pleasures and joys.

It was my first lesson with Saya-sensei and it was very good. I was able to ease into a comfortable space of conversation with her. I appreciate that she continued to use Japanese with me throughout the lesson. Even when I had some challenges in understanding, she patiently worked with me until I understood. She also sent me great review notes of the class, which will help me to solidify what I learned. Great lesson!

No matter how buzy I am, this is the lesson I never want to miss.
Teacher Saya teaches not only Japanese, but also a lot of knowledge. For example, ukiyoe, karuta...etc. It'a always a pleasure to talk with teacher Saya. I srongly recommend this teacher and her lesson.

I am a multi-linguist (French, English and Spanish at near native level). I love languages and I have been studying Japanese for years. It's been quite a rough experience. I've bought multiple textbooks, apps and have had dozens of lessons with different teachers.
I got very lucky finding Saya Sensei because she is one the few teachers that is willing to tell you the truth about your Japanese. Saya sensei will constantly tell you when you make mistakes (in a kindly manner) no matter how many times you make the same error over and over again. She is persistent and that kind of effort that she puts into her lessons makes a huge difference.
Believe me, I've been studying with Saya sensei for only a month (twice a week) and I feel so much more confident about my Japanese. Instead of hearing "Your Japanese is great!", I get to hear very helpful and honest advice from her directly.
All the lessons that I have had with Saya sensei revolve around topics that I choose. When I am out of ideas, Saya sensei will make the effort of bringing up a theme that she believes will interest me and also be helpful.
One more thing, Saya sensei gives great post lesson feedback. I was impressed by the amount of time she invests in the feedback emails. So not only does she write you feedback but she also supports it with materials and website links. This alleviates the stress of writing everything during a lesson.
Long story short, I have found THE most honest and invested Japanese teacher I have ever met. If only I had met her ten years ago...

The textbook Nihongo Fun & Easy focuses on words and phrases needed in everyday communication. The book deals with a major problem when it comes to learning Japanese. What words and sentences to learn first! Saya T is friendly and has a clear crisp voice so you should have no problem picking up the proper pronunciation for the words and sentences. She also will go in detail about words and phrases that she feels may need a more thorough description for everyday use in communication.

I have tried several ways to learn Japanese such as reading textbooks, taking Japanese classes at a university, and joining free-talk with Japanese volunteers but I think the lesson provided by Saya is the most effective and pleasant one. She always kindly adjusts the lessons to teach the Japanese that is what I want to learn. Also, She has broad language learning experience so talking with her is so interesting!
There are no shortcuts for learning Japanese, but by taking Saya's lessons, I feel I am on the road.
I highly recommend this lesson.

thanks for today’s lesson. Epecially for the pronunciation change from ぱ to は.looks like I still have long way to go for 清音と濁音. I can’t use the vibrating of throat to tell the difference of them, since the uttering time of the consonants (パタカ行/ばだが行) is so short and Japanese don’t use exaggerated pronunciation to emphasize the difference of thrm . Not like other language such as Chinese, aspirated and unaspirated consonants cannot be mixed.
