In my conversations with Tamasa-san, she helped me find the correct and proper phrases and vocabulary to sound more natural. When she gives corrections for either words, grammar or pronunciation, she always gives the corrections in a polite and professional manner. Even when I can only say a word in English, she can translate it and give Japanese suggestions.

First lesson with Tamasaさん went great. We did 自己紹介 and I improved my vocabulary and grammar this way. I learnt new words to express myself, as well as the difference between intransitive and transitive verbs. 楽しかったです！ありがとうございました。

Just for some context, I'm also a teacher so I'm very particular and picky about what I look for in other teachers when I'm taking lessons from them. That being said, Tamasa-san was incredibly professional and created a relaxing atmosphere for the lesson. She maintained a good balance of listening to me and offering her own opinions and advice. It was easy to get along with her and I think that she would be a good teacher for any student of any level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I believe that she will be more than skilled enough to handle whatever you may choose to throw at her.
After the lesson she gave me a summary of proverbs that we talked about. What I was even more surprised by was the fact that she even provided a few additional related ones that we didn't talk about. This really shows that she is going above and beyond when it comes to teaching her students.
She is wonderful, a pleasure to talk to and someone that I would like to speak to again when I have the chance!
I highly recommend that you do the same if you have the opportunity! -

I chose the "describe the picture" session so that I could practice being able to describe and explain different scenarios. The lesson was structured well and Tamasa chose pictures that were suitable for my level. Tamasa also provides very thorough feedback and notes during the lesson, which I find very helpful. I would recommend this lesson to all.
