***oKumekawa 2020 Awesome Lesson Awards (Autumn/Winter)
Brian's this course provides us with completely new perspectives of the world politics in various dimensions, such as economy, energy, diplomacy, warfare, etc. His learning materials consist of carefully chosen short video clips on various topics, and the questions that Brian created in relation to the contents of the movies. Prior to the lessons, learners have to prepare written answers based on his/her own opinions. Lessons are conducted in such a way as to review the prepared answers. Brian corrects grammatical mistakes in the answers and suggests alternative expressions. As the topics of the movies are thought-provoking, it is tough to answer the questions, but it is really rewarding at the same time. Through this lesson, I believe I could deepen my understanding on English grammar and develop my ability to express my opinion while enjoying the really interesting topics that provide us new vista to see the world.

We had another excellent lesson today. The materials Brian prepared for us is amazing in many ways. I like his humorous stories and tricks integrated in grammar exercises. I also have learned a lot of words which I am able to use as active vocabularies.
Since he always encourages me that I have very advanced level of English skills, I am becoming more confident in speaking English, even if I had taken only grammar lessons by now. The most remarkable thing in his lessons is that you will understand importance of making colorful and specific sentences. I'd love to continue working with Brian. -
