Every Saturday lesson, we had on expressions in the movie clip. Charles looked bad condition due to flu but he taught me enthusiastically. I got a solid lesson with him every time.

We have a conversation every Saturday. These days we took the material of my favorite movie. Every time Charles clipped the 5-minute video clip and wrote this script down for me. This helps to learn the expressions. after all, we spent most of the lesson time on SHORT TALK! But I actually had fun.

On every Saturday, I have cafe-take time with Charles. These days I learn some expressions from a movie clip which Charles write down before the lesson. I really enjoyed this lesson and talking about those topics with him. I will take his lesson again.

Thank you for the lesson in the end of 2018. I had a fun conversation with Charles. I will be getting start the new life in 2019 by using English. I will keep learning English to improve mine. I will take lesson with Charles every Saturday.

I just notice that there is no feedback for this lesson. Surely, I've learned a fine English with Prof. Charles every Saturday with a fun! I recommended his lessons because he give me many thoughtful comment after every lesson to help me improve English skills. I will keep doing his lesson.

Today, we talked about some incident concerning our security as free topic discussion. We are concerned about the events each in Paris and Chicago which are occurring of murder or shooting recently. Anyway, most of them were free talks but it was nice to have a fun lesson with Charles.

I took Charles’s lesson in preparation for a job interview. I relaxed and enjoyed his lesson. I sent him the details about the interview just one day before, and he found out some important information about the company which I couldn’t have found. It was very helpful. He let me answer the typical interview questions first and advised me better expressions, and also sent me detailed feedback after the lesson. Thanks to his lesson, I got confident for the interview.

幾つかのレッスンを通じて，私たちは一つの映画中の表現らを持った．それは子供向けアニメーションなので，私はそのストーリを理解できるが，細部の表現や意味については知らなかった．チャールズ先生は，丁寧に各表現について教えて頂き，私はとっても勉強になった．
Through some lessons, we held expressions in one movie. It's an animation for children, so I can understand that story, but I did not know about the details and meaning of detail. Professor Charles taught me about each expression carefully, and I learned a lot.

このレッスンを数回受けていますが、毎回3つの音声ファイル(最初の30秒ぐらい)と内容の紹介が最初に送られてきます。その中から自分の興味のあるものを選ぶと、レッスンで使うビデオのリンクが渡されます。いつも面白そうな音声が送られてくるので、どれにしようか迷ってしまいます^^ レッスンでは、ビデオの要約の練習や内容についての意見交換、わからなかった箇所を解説してもらったりと、こちらのペースに合わせて臨機応変に進めてくれます。チャールス先生は、レッスンのサインアップ時もジョークまじりの楽しいメッセージをくれたり、詳しいフィードバックをくれるので、リーディングのとても良い練習になります。レッスン中は聞き役にほぼ徹してくれるので、フィードバックを読んで、「先生は私の言ったことにこんな感想を持ったのか。あそこはうまく通じてなかったのか。」などと知ることもできます。長年オンラインレッスンを受けていますが、彼のように、生徒に関心を持ち、話しやすく、プロフェッショナルな先生はそうお目にかかりません。これからも定期的に受けていこうと思います。
In this “Watch it!” lesson, Charles sends three audios with the descriptions for students to choose from. Once students pick an audio, he gives us a link to the video for the lesson. I always have trouble deciding it because all the choices look good. J In the actual lesson, we practice summarizing the video, identify which parts are difficult, or share our thoughts on the topic, depending on our requests. I also enjoy his message when signing up as well as his detailed feedback. I particularly like his feedback because I get to know how he thought of my opinions and where he didn’t quite understand me. I’ve taken English lessons online and offline for long, but it is very rare to encounter a tutor who are professional and yet caring like Charles. I’m looking forward to taking his future lessons! -

I highly recommend his lesson. First of all, he is an great profecional English teacher. His lesson is beyond an English lesson. You can also get a lot out of his lesson to improve your English besides some tectonics.

This time, We could not start the lesson smoothly due to my computer trouble. Charles gave me sugesstions for my computer gently. We would have the video watching lesson and he told me what I could not understand things kindly. I will learn in his lesson.

We had series of watching the animation movie. It was so quickly changing scenes and actions. Charles told me one by one sentence in each scene with typing script. I will keep learning English from this lesson.

Charles gave me plenty of feedback with comments after the lesson. That is so helpful to improve my English. I book his lesson regularly. I strongly recommend the lesson with him to students who want more follow-up.

今回はお気に入りの映画についてのトークを教材としました．彼女はホラー映画が好むようです．この音源は優しい内容でした．チャールズ先生は私が良く分かっていない発音と意味を丁寧に教えてくれました．このレッスンもまた充実した内容でした．また受講します．
This time, we took a material of talking about favorite films; she preffers to horror films. It is easy for me to understand the audio. Charles taught me their pronunciations and meaning what I made sure. This lesson was also filfilling to improve my English-speak. I will have his lesson again.

今回のレッスンでは、子供のPTAについて話しました。チャールス先生に関心を持ってもらえるかなと思いましたが、とても生徒思いの先生なので、このトピックを持ちかけてみました。
日本のPTAは特殊だと思ったので笑、ジャパンタイムズの関連記事を事前に送っておき、予備知識を入れておいてもらいました。
レッスンでは、私の話をよく聞いてくれ、記事に書いてあったことを元に色々鋭い質問をしてくれました。
PTAの話になると、ついついネガティブになりますが、チャールス先生と話して少し気持ちが晴れました^^ 本当にスバラシイ先生です!
For this lesson, I shared my experience with PTA in my child’s school. I was a little worried if this topic might bore him, but since he cares about his students, I gave it a shot. ;)
PTA in Japan might appear to be unique. So, I sent him an article regarding this topic beforehand and got him informed. :P
He was attentive to my story and asked me very interesting questions based on this article during the class.
When it comes to PTA, I tend to be negative. However, after talking to him, I got encouraged and felt better about myself. He is an amazing tutor!
