As you know, there are four modules in IELTS test and we have been working on speaking and writing modules and my bility on this subjects have miraculously improved! I sometimes scored 9.0 for speaking and my record until now is 9.5!!! I continue working on this test preparation with help and studying strategies structured by Ian. Thank you, Ian for your great help! (I even improved my way of speaking in other languages too!)

"Improve your English in 1 lesson" seemed to be a little exaggerated title when I first saw this class.
However, I have to say it was worthy to this title and I am very satisfied with it.
Only in 15 minutes, Mr. Ian has pointed out two of my speaking problems and gave me helpful advice.
For me, the most surprised thing in class was the way Mr. Ian uses TED Talk as teaching materials.
He asked me to articulate what I think after I finish TED Talk, although I thought he would have asked me to memorize vocabularies form TED Talk or copy how speaker speak.
It is much more difficult because I used to watch TED Talk, without thinking about the contents of the speech, I merely look for new vocabulary to memorize.
This "homework" is challenging, but I believe that I will be able to learn more than just English. -

It was really inspiring to go through the great speeches written by the talented people. It was even better that I got to recite them. I will certainly take the lesson in public speaking again. I highly recommend this lesson to those who wish to improve the English skill of addressing others, for it is the essence of English. Thank you Ian, and see you soon!

I enjoyed the lesson very much. I did not know that I liked reciting until I took his TED-lesson. Now it has become my love to recite. I love what I read. Ian is very good at choosing a topic that I can learn how to read, understand and point out what is good or not in these speeches. Thank you Ian, and I recommend every one to try this lesson. We went through the speech manuscript written by a Dutch commander. It taught me the importance of how to write simply with logical sentences. Since this is originally a speech delivered in front of audience, I practiced many times, how to read, as if I were addressing people in front of me. It was my first attempt doing so, but it gave me a lot of pleasure at the end of trials and Ian was generous with compliments!It gave me the strength to try harder. I am looking forward to the next TED lesson! Thank you Ian, for your devoted help!

It is indeed a real challenge for me to go through the preparation of IELTS test. I am struggling and Mr Ian is helping me with such a patience. It was very early in the morning that I needed to take a class but Mr Ian gladly accepted my "sudden request". He explained to me about the strategy in order to obtain a higher score in IELTS test, which I am planning to take in 4 months or so. As listening to him, I realized that there is a reason when and why the fortune smile for us in such an occasion. She does not to so for no reason. We have to prepare for it manually, certainly, at the same time, we need to know the logic and the structure of the test. It was an indeed helpful lesson. Thank you Mr Ian, and see you in the next lesson!

We talked about probably the most important aspect of one's life: how to lead a happy life. It is not easy, for certain, but it is attainable. We discussed about four different perspectives of life: it was profound, however, very interesting.
