The 80-minute General English Class is a session I’ve been hooked on recently. Lately, we’ve been reading articles and discussing their content. Since I want to focus on speaking, Suja gives me plenty of opportunities to talk by asking thoughtful questions. She understands what I want to say and suggests the right words and phrasal verbs, which is very helpful. The class is tailored to each individual, making it perfect for those who want to practice speaking for IELTS, TOEIC, Eiken, and other exams.

She took time at the very first lesson to introduce each other and make a plan such as what the purpose of learning is (exam? business? hobby? etc and her recommended way to study. Thanks to the introduction, I felt like that she was trying to understand myself and my language level, and this made me relieved so much even tho it was our first time. I highly recommended you to start studying Chinese with her!

Koyuki Sensei is a skilled Japanese teacher, and I have learned a lot in the year that I have been her student. I started with very few skills and not much solid experience and went on to pass the N5 exam in 9 months. I feel more confident in my day-to-day life after what I have been taught and intend to continue learning from Koyuki Sensei for as long as possible.
Her skills lie in creating a friendly, fun and relaxed space for her students to practice and make mistakes within. You work hard and are very productive without realizing. I feel that I can experiment and push myself in her classes and she is very skilled at pinpointing areas that I need to improve upon and flexibly adapting lesson plans to my needs. I look forward to her classes every week and feel motivated to work hard outside of classes so I can continue improving and we can have more in-depth conversations in the near future.

Recently, she’s been giving me topics with prepared questions before our lessons. I write answers and submit them in advance, and she corrects my grammar beforehand. This has really helped me improve my writing. During lessons, we discuss some questions in depth. She sometimes picks unexpected topics, like horoscopes, which I wouldn’t usually think about—but I ended up enjoying it more than I expected! Before diving into the main topic, we have casual chats, which help me practice natural conversation. Her lessons are effective and fun, and her warm personality makes her a great teacher. Highly recommend!

In my case, I write journals about the topics discussed during the session or about things I couldn’t explain well during the session. Suja reviews them, checking if the vocabulary is used correctly, offering helpful advice, and suggesting new expressions. Writing journals not only serves as a review but also helps reinforce my understanding, so I highly recommend it.
