Nick knows a lot of techniques about water color painting. He is a wonderful artist; so we can see his fantastic painting touches during his lesson, which is very helpful for beginners.

We consider ourselves lucky to have discovered Takayo-sensei! I have been wanting my children to improve their handwriting in Japanese. We wanted a teacher that was not only skilled at the profession, but also good with kids and fun. Takayo-sensei has been all that and more. She takes something that is traditionally considered boring for kids(calligraphy) and turns it into something fun!

I had so much fun!!! Kellie was super easy to talk to and set up the lesson in a really fun way.
We did all kinds of different improv exercises (because that's what I had wanted to focus on) and did some dialogue reading together as well.
I really enjoyed it and will definitely want to book this lesson again! :) -

先生はとても話しやすく、優しくて、時間の使い方が上手でした。先生のおかげで子供たちは楽しく字の練習ができました。Takayo-sensei has a friendly and professional attitude and was great with my kids ages 6-13. I highly recommend her if you would like to improve your handwriting.

I made a nice acrylic painting thanks to Nick's help! Great lesson! As always!!

Acrylic panting was new for me, but Nick carefully taught me how to paint on a canvas with acrylic paints step by step, so that I could easily blend colors and put it on the canvas. We could make a nice acrylic painting through this lesson, actually which is unfinished, but it looks like a finished one, because it’s so beautiful. More than anything, his lesson was so enjoyable that we were unconscious of the passage of time.

I had my 2nd lesson with Kellie today and it was so much fun I completely forgot the time! We built up on things we did in the 1st lesson and tried new exercises, she also gave me a lot of great tips to use. I am thoroughly hooked for sure!
